The “MEDIAVITA Champions Cup 2009” was held at the Sportpark AC Weinheim in
Weinheim, July 31 thru August 2, 2009. For the first time ever, there was an electric
wheelchair tournament which only the country champions were qualified to participate in.
In addition to the host and German Champion from Weinheim, the following European
teams entered the competition: Skorpions Varese (Italy), Helsinki Outsiders (Finland),
Gidos Screamers (Belgium), Rolling Thunder Berne (Switzerland), and EWSC Lita Sport
Prague (Czech Republic). The tournament was played by the current Internation Rules of ICEWH.
